Behavioral and Neurodevelopmental Services (BANDS) is a group of providers at Dartmouth Health who work with children, adolescents, and young adults and their families dealing with Autism Spectrum and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Our services focus on complex diagnostic questions and behavioral and emotional symptoms. We provide comprehensive evaluations and consultations to support your child and family. Ask your family doctor or primary care provider to refer your child to our program.

Resources

  • Autism Speaks: This website provides resources, research, and information on how to get involved to support individuals with autism and their families.
  • Individual Placement and Support (IPS): This Dartmouth-Hitchcock program is designed to help people living with disabilities find meaningful jobs and provides ongoing support for success. We focus on community jobs that anyone can apply for and that pay at least minimum wage. These jobs include part-time and full-time opportunities. For health care professionals

We have a variety of clinics that largely provide consultation. To make sure the child you are referring gets placed in the most appropriate clinic, please make sure you include your question as part of the referral.

Education

BANDS provides educational opportunities to undergraduates, medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing professionals. Trainees at different stages in their training rotate and observe in our clinics.

We are a clinical training site for New Hampshire Leadership Education Neurodevelopmental Disorders, NH-LEND.

We offer various Continuing Medical Education initiatives for medical professionals including both regularly scheduled series and a yearly event each spring.
