Chair welcome

Keith J. Loud, MD

Like you, 24 years ago I was exploring pediatric residency in New England. I joined the program here at Dartmouth Heath Children’s that aspired to become the “best small residency program in the country,” committed to academic rigor in a supportive environment where truly personal relationships are formed with patients and colleagues.

Today Dartmouth Health Children’s continues to thrive because our stellar faculty and staff advocate and educate for comprehensive and compassionate care in every setting. We remain committed to the success of each and every resident, and will individualize your personal and professional development. Our scale allows for collaborative scholarship with the vibrant Dartmouth academic community, which also offers unmatched cultural and recreational opportunities.
Enjoy the virtual window into our world.

Interview day overview

On your interview day you will have a chance to interact with residents, faculty, and program leadership via our virtual platform, WebEx, to get a sense of what makes Dartmouth Health Children’s a fabulous place to live and learn. We are offering either morning or afternoon recruitment sessions this year, which include a welcome by program leadership, two faculty interviews and a small group Q&A with current residents.  Additionally, each recruitment day will include a resident-led case conference from 12:00 to1:00 pm.  Please see the Sample Interview Schedule (PDF) for full details.

We will email your interview schedule approximately one week before your interview.

If you have any trouble on interview day, please contact the Program Coordinator, Cynthia Loseby, at

Social hour with the residents

Current residents will host virtual social hours from 8:00 to 9:00 pm (EST) which will provide an opportunity to get to know our residents and have them answer your questions about the program and life in the Upper Valley. You will receive specific details for social hour opportunities from the program coordinator, including the virtual registration link.
