National Resident Matching Program

Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The NRMP match occurs in March. We participate in the couples' match within our own program and with other residency programs in our medical center. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center does not discriminate in hiring on the basis of age, sex, race or national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.

What to submit

Candidates are considered once the following information is received:

  • ERAS application
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Transcript
  • USMLE/COMLEX Step 1 score
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement

Interview days

Upon the approval of the selection committee, applicants are invited to participate in one of our Interview Days. Alternative dates for interviews will be considered on an individual basis.

Interview Days are held October through December, with a few select dates in early January. Invitations to interview will be sent by email to the address you have provided in ERAS.

In addition to the program requirements mentioned above, our Graduate Medical Education Office has specific institutional eligibility requirements, including information about VISAs.

Please note that the State of New Hampshire requires a passing score on all parts of Step 2 in order to be eligible for a medical training license.
