Adolescent Medicine specialists are committed to meeting the unique needs of teenagers, pre-teens, and young adults.
While the vast majority of conditions affecting adolescents can and should be managed with your Primary Care Provider (PCP), your PCP may request additional consultation with Adolescent Medicine for certain diagnoses.

Adolescent Medicine treats the following conditions:
- Acne
- Bone health in otherwise healthy teens
- Eating disorders
- Growth and pubertal development (too early or too late)
- Menstrual problems, complex gynecologic issues, and reproductive health
In addition, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Department of Orthopaedics provides the following services:
- Concussion management
- Nutrition for athletes
- Treatment for sports injuries
