Our genetic counselors provide information and support to families with members with genetic disorders, or families who may be at risk for inherited conditions.
If you are referred to our Genetic Counseling Clinic, you will meet with a licensed genetic counselor. He or she will review your medical and family histories, and review with you relevant information and management for the genetic condition. Discussions will focus on analyzing inheritance patterns, explaining risks, and reviewing available testing options.
Each genetic counselor provides supportive counseling and serves as a patient advocate to help you find the resources and support services you may need.
