Pediatric Ophthalmology provides vision screening and orthoptic evaluations for children, and treats common problems that can affect your children's eyes and vision.
We provide a variety of treatments and services, including:
- Complete eye exams (includes dilation of the pupil for evaluation of the retina and optic nerve)
- Eye muscle surgery to straighten the eyes
- Eyelid repair
- Glasses for nearsightedness or farsightedness
- Orthoptic treatments
- Patching for amblyopia (lazy eye)
- Screening exams and treatments for children with developmental abnormalities, systemic diseases, or ocular abnormalities such as tear duct problems
- Screening retinal exam in Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) for premature or low-birth-weight babies
