Our hope for our Kids’ Health and Wellness Hub is that it will be a source of easily accessible, trustworthy information for families.

Dartmouth Health Children’s has launched a Kids’ Health and Wellness Hub on its website—a one-stop shop dedicated to providing expert advice to parents and caregivers on kids’ health, growth and behavior. The Kids’ Health and Wellness Hub features articles and videos with concise bullet points, organized by topic and with search capability, to help families easily access factual, science-based information that’s easy to understand and apply.

Each post in the Health and Wellness Hub features a Dartmouth Health Children’s pediatric expert and addresses frequently questions, trending topics, and resources including links to more information on the topic and how to get connected with a provider. Current featured Hub posts include what to know about concussionssafe sleeping practices for newborn babies, and why Dartmouth Health Children’s is following the American Academy of Pediatrics’ vaccine guidelines.

“While we live in an era where information is more readily available than ever before, too much of that information, which is widely disseminated by social media, is misunderstood, misconstrued, or just flat out incorrect, especially when it comes to our health,” said Keith J. Loud, MD, MSc, physician in chief of Dartmouth Health Children’s. “Every parent wants the absolute best for their child, but with so much competing information, it can be confusing and difficult to know what to trust. Our hope for our Kids’ Health and Wellness Hub is that it will be a source of easily accessible, trustworthy information for families navigating any and all questions about their children’s health, from treating tummy aches, to encouraging healthy eating habits, to supporting mental and emotional wellbeing.”
