Bath Routines for Kids

Bathing a few times a week with mild soap and moisturizer helps protect children’s skin.

  • Daily baths aren’t necessary for kids, 2 to 3 times per week is typically sufficient unless they get very dirty.
  • Bathing helps remove dust and environmental irritants that can cause skin irritation.
  • Best practices include using warm (not hot) water, choosing a mild fragrance-free cleanser, and focusing soap only on areas that are actually dirty rather than lathering the whole body every time.
  • After bathing, apply moisturizer immediately to lock in hydration and protect the skin barrier.
