Dartmouth Health Children’s and Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD) announces long-time partner the Elliot Perry Foundation as the presenting sponsor of the 2023 Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship. The Foundation has committed to the upcoming March 18, 2023 game and a three-year sponsorship of Dartmouth Health Children’s annual fundraiser, which features police officers, firefighters and first responders all battling it out on the ice in support of the children and families of Dartmouth Health Children’s.

The Elliot Perry Foundation has a long-standing relationship with Dartmouth Health Children’s. The Foundation was established by the Perry family in honor of their son Elliot, 11, who is a dedicated Dartmouth Health Children’s ambassador committed to giving back to the hospital that he and his parents credit with saving his life. Elliot was born almost four months early, at just 1 lb. 9 oz., and given an 18 percent chance of survival. After 121 days in the Intensive Care Nursery at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Elliot was released and able to go home to his family. Elliot’s 121 Club initiative, inspired by the 121 days spent in the hospital, succeeded fundraising efforts and in 2022 helped open a new Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible playground in Manchester, NH.

“Just like Dartmouth Health Children’s, the Battle of the Badges hockey game has been an important part of my life. As I have grown, so has my commitment to this organization and the game. I am honored and thrilled to have my foundation be the presenting sponsor and thankful to all those involved to helping kids like me,” said Elliot Perry, founder of the Elliot Perry Foundation, which is committed to child enrichment programs.

The 2023 Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship will take place on March 18th at 1pm at Manchester’s SNHU arena. Full rosters for Team Police and Team Fire and tickets are available at chadhockey.org.
